Unfortunately it was all downhill after that with Drizzt just aimlessly plodding around fighting random monsters. He gains trust and friendship andlearns to give back in return without too much expectation. He leaves everything he knows and ventures into the Underdark where he discovers another challenge to his identity.
The whole purpose of the book to get Drizzt to finally leave the underdark. Also, the first to give Drizzt a hug. Sojourn is a fantasy novel by American writer R.
